The story behind Clorient's online shop

Clorient is a service thinking focused company whose mission is to help service organisations and their people shine. In this article, we share who we are, what we believe in and why our training shop is part of our broader offering.

Where it all began

Clorient did not begin as a business plan. It grew from Henri's long-standing interest in services and service organizations. From an early age, he paid attention to how different services feel and why some experiences stay with you longer than others.

Later, university studies, working in the IT world and service management development projects deepened his understanding that services touch every organisation regardless of industry or size. Over time, this understanding evolved into a view of service organisations as living ecosystems, where development rarely happens in straight lines.

One summer night, rowing on a quiet lake and looking at the full moon, these thoughts began to take shape as a whole. From that moment, the story of Clorient began.

What we believe

Today, nearly every organisation operates as a service organisation in one way or another. Technology plays an increasingly central role in producing and developing services, but on its own it does not guarantee success.

Success is shaped by how an organisation creates value through its services, differentiates itself and builds experiences that leave a lasting impression. Equally important is how the service organisation is led and how it adapts to a constantly changing world.

We believe service thinking is key to this. It is not a method or a trend — it is a way of understanding how value is created through services in a complex and constantly evolving world, while creating the conditions for creativity to flourish

Why a training shop

Many organisations already have everything they need to take the next step. The challenge is rarely a lack of technology, frameworks or methods. More often, what is missing is clarity, shared direction and the ability to turn ideas into everyday practice.

Our training shop was born from the need to make high-quality training easily accessible. We wanted to offer professionals and organisations a way to develop their skills flexibly, on their own terms and without unnecessary barriers.

Our selection is chosen by one criterion: does it help a service organisation develop? ITIL, PRINCE2 and Project Academy courses are examples of our offering. They provide tools that support the development of service organisations and the growth of the people within them.
